Help/FAQ
What software is required to use this site?
For the best experience on this site we recommend the latest
version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 6.0).
This site is designed to work with at least Internet Explorer
5.0 or Netscape Navigator 4.73. Lower versions may not support
all functions of this site. AOL users must upgrade
to AOL Version 5.0 for reliable use of this site.
You can download the latest versions of these browsers from
the following sites. To upgrade Internet Explorer for Windows
you must go to the Product Updates section of the Windows
Update website and follow the instructions on the site.
What software is required to download slides?
When you download slides from the Slide Library, a compressed/zipped file is sent to your computer. When you try to open it, your computer searches for a utility to unzip the downloaded file. If the file does not open automatically, you may need to install a utility that performs this function, such as:
WinZip 8.1 Evaluation Version for Windows or
Stuffit Expander for Mac.
I am trying to download the entire Slide Library and my system keeps crashing, what should I do?
If you have difficulty downloading a large number of slides, you may want to reduce the number of slides in your tray. The larger the file, the longer it will take to download, and the greater the chance for an error to occur.
How can I view and edit the slides once I have downloaded them?
Once you have completed the download process, you will need Microsoft PowerPoint to view and edit the slides on your computer.
How do I watch the streaming videos in Virtual Meetings?
In order to view the streaming video presentations in Virtual Meetings you will need RealPlayer 7 (or greater) from Real. There are several RealPlayer versions available at their website, there is a charge for some of the versions. If you are interested in obtaining the free version, please be careful with your selection and choose Download the Free RealOne Player Only .
There are instructions for downloading and installing RealPlayer on the Real website. Please allow for sufficient
download time. Depending on your connection speed and network traffic, this could take 10 minutes or more. Once you've downloaded
and installed RealPlayer, return to this website to view the program. You can download Free RealOne Player from the Real.com website.
I already have the latest version of RealPlayer installed on my computer but still can't see the streaming video, what's wrong?
Check your Internet connection. If you are using a 56k or slower connection, you may not be able to view the streaming video presentations, and should select the "audio, streaming text and slides" viewing option. If that doesn't work, try the "text and slides" viewing option.
How to view the printable PDF version
To access the printable PDF version of the transcript and
slides that accompanies this program, you will need Adobe
Acrobat Reader, available at the Adobe.com
website.
